Diana Linn, a member of the Americana Music Association and Folk Alliance International, hopes to expand the listening base for KKFI by highlighting this treasure trove of music that she feels is severely under-represented by corporate radio.

Roger Wilder

Jazz Geek

Roger Wilder, The Jazz Geek, is the host of KKFI’s Jazz Afternoon on Fridays. He plays new releases, classic jazz, local jazz, and birthdays of jazz artists. Mr. Wilder is an adjunct jazz professor at the University of Missouri in Kansas City.

Maria Vasquez Boyd

Maria Vasquez Boyd is a writer, painter, illustrator, radio producer and a founding member of the Latino Writers Collective.

Mark Manning

Mark has volunteered at KKFI 90.1 FM since 2001. He served as Secretary on KKFI's Board of Directors from 2004 to 2009. Mark also served as Host, Writer and Producer of The Tenth Voice from 2001 through 2009.

Each week, a rotating crew of KKFI programmers will present different artists coming to you live from our studio.  These programmers will tap into Kansas City’s diverse and culturally expansive music and arts scene.  Hear from artists you have never heard of before!  This is KKFI doing what it does best: giving back to the community!
